E2 had their pediatrician appointment today. She is 9 ½ lbs.
He is 11 lbs. 7 ½ oz. That puts him in the 50th percentile. She is
still on the smallish side. They are starting their ninth week of life outside the womb.
EJ seems as dense as lead. He is heavy for his size. Imagine
looking at him, estimating the effort required to lift him and then thinking,
“Ugh! You are heavier than I thought.” He has some body fat. He also has a lot
of solid muscle. Dad can feel it when he holds him. The kid’s traps and lats
(major back muscles) are rock-hard and well defined. Ruth M was the first to
notice his size calling him a linebacker. Apt description.
Liesel is a delicate flower. She is content to eat just
enough to maintain her figure, as if that onesie is some sort of bathing suit. She
does have a small Buddha belly, but the Parents would like to see her gain more
weight. She feels light, almost fragile, compared to her brother.
