HI loyal New Family blog readers. The New Family's home is for sale, memories not included, but the children might be. Make an offer.

Just kidding. About selling the kids, not the condo.

The Family wants to sell the condo and purchase a single family home so the children will have their own rooms and a fenced in yard.

This condo unit will no doubt sell for a premium because of the fame of the current owner, fame bestowed on him by the popularity of his blog.

What? Why this blog gets two, maybe three unique visits per day. And special posts like the Birthday posts received well over 20 page views!

Anyway, Dad is done with projects and is proud of the work he has put into it getting it into shape and ready for sale. So he wants to share pictures.

Hitherto he has been reluctant to publish photos of it for privacy concerns, but now that it is listed, it is public info discoverable by anyone with a modicum of determination.

Trip to the Mall

SOME days are just too hot and humid to be enjoyed outside. So the Family decided to head to the mall.

Dad dons a ball cap when his hair gets too long and he won't take the time to go get it cut. It is not laziness, it is just an undesirable experience for him. He goes to get it cut when the aggravation of long hair overcomes the aggravation of having it cut.

McDonald's Play Place

THE New Family home is for sale, so they have to get out while prospective buyers look at it (it feels to Dad like they are rummaging through their underwear drawer). So to kill an hour, they headed to McD's for cones and fries and of course the Play Place.

With a face full of ketchup, on Daddy's lap, and a french fry tightly clasped in her hand, Buggy is very happy.

Buggy made fast friends Aleaha. Unusual for her.

The little girl pictured above was there with her mother and grandmother. Buggy, in an unusual twist, made fast friends with her. Typically she is only confident around other children when EJ is around. They had a great time teaching each other and playing together. Dad, in hindsight, should've have gotten her mother's contact info and set up a play date.

JESSICA is a New Family friend and has known Mom since grade school.

She is extremely good with children and just adores the New Family Twins.

THE Twins learn really fast. They will no more about how to operate the Parent's phones by next week than the parents will ever know.

More Updates: Happy Birthday!

ON June 11th, the Twins turned two years old. Their growth and development is amazing. They are now fully sentient of their world. They see themselves as separate and unique individuals from each other and their Parents. They are using words, and some phrases. EJ, for example, surprised Dad recently by playing peekaboo with Buggy and saying as clear as you would, "I see you!" when he popped around the barrier separating him from Buggy. They follow directions (when they want to) and commands, even new ones they have not heard before. 

This last deserves further exposition. Dad was accustomed to carrying EJ kicking and screaming to bed and it was an uncomfortable struggle. EJ is really, really strong. His muscle fiber is incredibly dense, so when he resists Dad, Dad has to fight hard to get him to comply with his wishes. So one day Dad was tired, it was bedtime, Dad didn't want the impending struggle, and Boy was not ready for bed. So after the bedtime routine, instead of Dad carrying Boy to bed, he put him down and said, "Let's go to bed." He expected the worst but amazed when EJ toddled on into in his bedroom. Once there Dad said, "Lay down." Amazingly, he did. Dad said, "I love you" and "goodnight." Then closed the door. And that has been part of the routine ever since.
