Buggy Faceplant

DAD has long suspected that Liesel enjoyed falling down face first. She may not like the sudden stop at the end, but he thinks she likes the rush while on her way down.

This belief comes from hours of observation and more recently an incident that occured while everyone was on the couch.

The rule on the couch is No Standing. They regularly defy it and he sits them down. She stood up facing away from Dad. He went to grab her around the waist, but ended up pushing her down face first into the cushion.

She giggled with delight, stood up and faced away from him again. When he did not push again, she fell forward herself.

She was about to try a third attempt when Dad decided play-on-the-couch time was over.

Boo!

THERE is a two foot tall ghost haunting the house!

It wandered aimlessly back and forth for a while before heading off.

Hmm, mighty suspicious. Ghosts don't have arms do they?

Buggy will get to the bottom of it.

Or just giggle at it when it giggles at her!

How Buddy Learned to Open a Door

SINCE Buddy can easily climb out of the playspaces, Dad decided to unlatch the door on this one. Buddy, imitating his Parent's walked in and out several times, each time opening the door and closing it behind him just like Mommy and Daddy.

He has been fascinated with this for several days now.

Favorite Time of Year

WHEN the Shamrock is happy, Dad is happy, for the same reasons.

Autumn, with its cooler temperatures and bright sunshine, is Dad's favorite time of year and coincidentally the Shamrock's too. The leaves will continue to get greener and bigger while the browning around their edges will cease. The flowers will continue to bloom. By December this plant will be as big and thick as a jungle.

Buddy's New Outfits

BUDDY has some new outfits.

♫ "I'm going to a party at the county jail!" ♫

Buddy has a new backpack. It has a tether that allows him some freedom of movement while in public, but won't let him wander too far away.

So soft and cuddly. Huggey Bear loves to be held. No, he has not taken up a binky. He simply found one of hers and decided to give it a try.

He loves Mom's blanket. He'll hide underneath and play peek-a-boo.

Buggy's New Outfits

BUGGY has some new threads courtesy of Grandma.

Dad thinks the one above resembles a strawberry.

If the collar were green instead of white, and it didn't have the flower patches, it would be a perfect strawberry outfit.

This one is too cute! It is cuddly and soft. Now, if Dad could only get her to sit in his lap for more than a minute, he could enjoy it too.

Mom saw the backpack and thought it was a great idea. It come with a tether so she can walk with some freedom while out and about but cannot wander too far away. Plus it doesn't look like a dog harness.

So cute.

Buggy's New Outfit

NO, the pink pail did not come with it. She put that on afterward.

It was Not Funny!

AS we break down in laughter...

Mom and Dad had had a bad day. Master Crabby Pants and Miss Crabby Panties sucked all of the Parent's emotional energy. They were picky eaters, and screamed about what they were offered. They had had their flu shots, and screamed about the pain from the needle. They were up too long, and fussed about being tired.

To add to the stress, there were fruit fly buzzing seemingly everywhere.Dad was swatting them away while he tried to relax and watch TV.

Out of the corner of his eye, in the uncorrected periphery where his spectacle lens does not cover, he spotted one. Dad slapped his thigh thinking he had finally killed one.

From behind him Mom erupted into laughter. Realizing that she had retrieved the old laser cat toy, and had put its spot on his thigh, he grew more frustrated.

Dad replied with an "Arghh!" and an indecent display of his extended middle finger.

This causes Mom further laughter, of which Dad cannot help but to join in. A good prank is good, objective of its recipient.

Call it payback. Early on in their marriage Dad got Mom good. He aggravated her unwarranted fear of bedbugs (back then) invading her ear while she slept. He told her fibs about their prevalence and what they do to sleeping hosts (feeding on earwax and infecting human brains). When they retired to bed that evening, Mom could barely relax with the icky thoughts crawling around her mind. Earlier, he had placed the feathered cat toy under his side of the bed. It hangs from a string at the tip of a long wand. Once she finally lulled off, he tickled her ear with it. She slapped her ear pretty good while he laughed.

So turnabout is fair play.

Buggy Feeds Buddy

SHE has been feeding him Fruit Loops. Here she doesn't realize that she does not have one in her hand.

"Thanks sis, but I take it from here."
